Judy Crane, LMHC, CAP, ICADC - President and Facilitator

Judy has over 3 decades of experience working in both residential and out-patient settings. In 2003, she revolutionized the industry by combining her years of specialized training with her distinctive insights. Over the next 9 years she developed one of the country’s leading treatment centers specializing in Trauma/PTSD and Addiction.

She earned her B.A. at Rutgers, M.A. from New York Institute of Technology and is a Certified Addiction Professional in Florida, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, a Certified Hypnotist, EMDR and a specialist for healing trauma and PTSD. Judy Crane’s presentation and seminars on PTSD and sexual trauma resolution are known throughout the country. Judy’s specialized training, experiential methods, and holistic concepts are now being provided through a Visceral, Spiritual, and Profound 5 module training, Spirit2Spirit Trauma Healing. She currently serves as a consultant for many of the country’s leading treatment centers to train their clinical teams.

In 2010, was awarded the ACATA – Administrator of the Year Annual Award for her significant achievement in the field of addiction treatment administration. Shortly thereafter, she was selected as the 2012 Behavioral Healthcare Champion in recognition of her life-changing therapy, services, and support to Americans who suffer from mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Judy believes that persistent addictions, chronic relapse and repetitive self-sabotage are often the result of unresolved trauma. Healing occurs when we identify the “root cause” of addiction.  She often says, “You have to unravel the trauma story to understand the addiction story and write the recovery story.”

Her passion and purpose have collided.

As the Director of Admissions and Marketing she was able to assist the entire family system and network with other professionals by visiting other treatment Centers and attending industry conferences.  After several years Kat was recruited to work as a National Account Executive for Calloway Labs. While working in toxicology she was exposed to the ugly side of this field and with a little help from her friend Judy Crane, she decided to start her own company; Cross Consulting Marketing. This gave her the freedom to choose who she would associate with and be able to work with only the most ethical and authentic people in the industry. This also afforded her the opportunity to spend more time with her new daughter Skyler and loving husband, Matt. Currently, Kat Lives in Taos, NM with them. As a trauma survivor herself, Kat has a deep passion for serving our population and creating possibility for those who are wounded.
